Who we are

About Us

Over twenty years of competitive badminton in South Dublin. High standards, a tight group, and a real love of the game.

What drives us

We love the sport and the community that comes with it. Every season our teams compete across Men's, Ladies', and Mixed grades, and we've had a fair share of wins over the years. But the real reason people stay, year after year, is what happens on club nights: strong play, close games, and a group that genuinely cares about the sport.

The club today

KBC currently fields multiple teams across the DDLC leagues, from Division 8 up to the higher grades. Mondays are for team practice and coaching. Tuesdays and Thursdays are club nights. It's a great mix of high-quality games and a great club atmosphere.

If you're Division 7 or above and looking for a club with a high standard and a proper welcome, get in touch.

Our story

Knocklyon Badminton Club has been around for over twenty years. It started as a small group of players who wanted a proper competitive club in South Dublin, and it has grown into what we have today: several teams across the DDLC leagues, and busy club nights that keep people playing at a good standard week in, week out.

We play out of Knocklyon Community Centre in Dublin 16, three nights a week. Our members are a mix of league veterans and newer players stepping into competitive badminton for the first time. What they have in common is a genuine love for the sport and a high energy on court every week.
